Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust aims at promoting education to help poor and downtrodden and to ameliorate the living condition of the poor, destitute and weaker sections of the society.

Mission :

Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust believes that education is the sole remedy to eradicate all social evils. The trust has equipped with progressive policies to provide education to reach out to the rural masses.

Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology started functioning from the Academic Year 1986-87 with a mere intake of 120 seats in B.E. courses. The active involvement of Board of Trustees resulted in achieving its milestones year after year. At present, the annual intake of Engineering Course alone has gone up to 750 seats. Later, in the Academic Year 1998-1999 a PG Course in MCA was started. The MBA Course was added during 2001-2002 and later, the Institution started conducting PG Courses leading to M.Tech. in Electronics, Mechanical-Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Bio-Technology & Bio-Chemical Engineering. The Institution is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. Courses have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi (2 times). Recently, National Assessment and Accreditation Council have also accredited the Engg. College for the next five years.Vision :
