Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) is an engineering college located in Tumkur, Karnataka, India.It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). SIT was founded in 1963 by His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji and is one of the 130+ educational institutions run by the Sri Siddaganga Educational Society.

The campus covers an area of 65acres with sprawling greenery and has 14 departments offering Under Graduate programs and Postgraduate programs. Under Graduate courses offered are Bachelor’s Engineering in Architecture, Bio technology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Science & Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering.
The institute offers Post Graduate programs in Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications, M.Tech in Signal Processing – E & C, Manufacturing Sc – Engineering, Transport Engineering – Management and Computer Network Engineering, Civil Engineering – Structures, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Thermal Power Engineering.
SIT one among the 14 Engineering Colleges which come under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP), which is a World Bank Project is administered by the Government of Karnataka. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accredits the Under Graduate courses; the NBA is an autonomous under the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The college has facilities for encouraging sports and games. Has well equipped gymnasium, basketball, volleyball court, cricket ground, race track, badminton court, and an indoor stadium. It was established in 1963 under the auspices of the Sri Siddaganga Education Society.
Siddaganga Institute of Technology is ranked 101 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021.
