Netaji Subhas University of Technology was established in 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology (DIT) by the Delhi Administration. In 1997, it was renamed Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology in honor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian freedom fighter. In 2018, it was granted the status of a university and renamed Netaji Subhas University of Technology.
NSUT is a state university and is affiliated with the University of Delhi. The university is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
NSUT offers undergraduate (B.Tech, B.Des), postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in various disciplines. The undergraduate programs include branches like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and more.
